AAM Monday: Project Life Week 4

I had great intentions of doing Week 5 yesterday but as with many good plans it's still a thought not an action. Somehow the morning started of more slowly than I'd hoped. Probably due to a trip across the Bay and a dinner there and then a long good sleep, albeit on a full stomach. In any case, I managed to do a bunch of computer cleanup that was a month overdue.

Then in that mood, I forged ahead and tagged two months of digi supplies. When I'm in the right mood, I'm willing to tag the various elements which takes the most time but results in the most reward. You know...there comes a day when you want a squirrel element for a page and god bless the designers....some of them still name that element...designer name, kit name, element #7. Oh that helps a lot! So my Lightroom tagging to the rescue!

btw, I don't know who is the owner of that black adulating quote on top of the green triangle card, but if it's your's - claim it and I'll credit you!

Self Portrait Tag

I saw this one over at Denise's Write My Life and thought...why not?

Photo taken with my IMac.

The "rules"of this tag are :

  • Take a picture of your self right now, no primping or preparing. Just snap a picture.
  • Load onto your blog.
  • Tag 3 people to play…remember if you are tagged on another blog we will all be heading to yours to see if you played along.
So who shall I tag? Ok that blogging newbie FionnsWorld, then two Australians Nikkishell and Taccolina. Now to run off and notify them.

Here are the simple rules:
Link to the person who tagged you. (did that)
Post the rules on your blog. (done)
Write Six Random Things about yourself. (yep)
Tag six-or-so other people at the bottom of the post. (done)
Leave comments on their blogs, letting them know they've been tagged! (yes)
Let the person who tagged you know when you've written the post. (better check)

I'm in the process of writing my autobiography in 5 yr chunks for my Artist Way group. We are reading Julia Cameron's Vein of Gold and I balked at this exercise a LOT. Now that I've jumped in, it's not so bad and some things have come up that I've forgotten.

1. Sweet little me was almost expelled twice before I was 10 years old. It's a wonder I wasn't seriously scarred by the nuns I had at age 7 who told me I was going to have all my teeth pulled because I bit a girl. My mother was furious, and not at me.

2. I am an only child and my father died (ALS) when I was 28 and my mother died (cancer) when I was 35.

3. I've had a zillion cats in the past 20 years all but two ran away. Well the two did run away but got hit by cars. I KNOW where the rest are..but it's an unusual story.

4.I was elected President of my teen club at age 15. I never ran again...leave them wanting more. (Take that, Sarah!)

5. Sarah SixPack is NOT my Gal. Tanya Tarr is the cleverclogs behind this blog.

I'm gonna get this out tonight, so be warned...tagging will commence on Friday afternoon. The Wall of Tag will be up then. is up.

Six Things About Me

Well I've been tagged by Big Cats Emporium (doesn't that want to make you go RrrrOOOAAAARRRRR!!!!) to tell 6 things about me. Thanks Cath, since you said I don't have to clean my desk now. ;-) Gosh playgroups are fun!

  • I was the youngest in my high school graduating class - 15 years old.

  • I once swallowed a live fly whole. (I don't know why she swallowed the fly, perhaps she'll die. She didn't. )

  • I won a writing contest in grade school, and was published in high school. You might say I peaked out before I turned 16.

  • I almost never wear patterned clothing tho many of my clothes do tend to acquire cooking or eating patterns.

  • I spoke only Lithuanian until I was 3 years old.

  • My favorite food texture is rubbery - e.g. mushrooms, escargots, gummi bears, Twizzlers. I suspect this is an infantile desire for the old rubbery nipples of baby bottles. My husband asks how I can put that crap into my body, but give me a 2lb bag of Twizzlers and you've won my heart.

  • Ok, now it's my turn. I'm tagging BellaDia, The Vintage Magpie, The DinnerChronicles, Cinnamondaze, Cally Creates and Nesting Instincts.

    Here are the rules

    1. Link to the person that tagged you.
    2. Post the rules on your blog.
    3. Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
    4. Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
    5. Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website

I suppose it's time to clean the desk now, huh...
