Travel With Me Tuesday: London Walkabout - His Then Ours

One of us wakes up much earlier than the other so when he did, he went out for a walk north towards what I think of as 'train central'  - Euston, St. Pancras and Kings Cross. After he came back, we were ready to go out for lunch and a good walk down to the Thames. This gave me a good 'mental map' again. I was pretty familiar with this part of London, in fact my first visit and stay was in Bloomsbury - 1965!

AAM Monday: Project Life Week 35

Week 35 included more traveling than usual. We both went over to VA to see Dick's cousin and then later in the week I went to the Eastern Shore to see birthday girl. Her birthday is a week before mine so despite the rain, she got the visit. My son in NC shares his birthday with her but that's a much longer drive. Even though it was a holiday weekend, it was one of the quickest drives to and from the beach. I'll take that any time!

Travel With Me Tuesday: Goodbye Yorkshire Hello London

I like pages that include maps because in later times looking back on these trips it's always interesting to trace our paths. It was a nice train ride but still it was good to get off, get a coffee and walk to our London rental. Stage 2 of our trip had begun!

AAM Monday: Project Life Week 34

I was so glad to see August ending. Not as bloody hot and humid as it could have been but a time I felt like ...ok, this is enough. Let's get those cooler days a-coming. We have had the spider webs since July which is usually a sign of fall that doesn't come until September. Normally, it's then that I notice the change of season when I walk out on the back deck...and yuck! a spider web across the nose. The spiders seem to know something I don't know this year.

But the days started to be visibly shorter in Week 34 which made me happy in the morning. More dark to sleep in!

Travel With Me Tuesday: Afternoon in Harrogate

As I was looking through my England layouts to see where I was with the intention of starting again, I saw that I had missed an afternoon up in Harrogate. Not sure why or how that happened but I set to it and got these layouts done by using a large photo of my husband on the left and then a set of photos that rather cover the rest of the day on the right. These two went pretty quickly as the paper on the left had a good bit of brick work and other designs on the top. I was glad there was a transfer of the bit on the far right of this paper which more or less duplicated the part in the very center - the tanned the hazy purple.

With that transfer on the right, it does look a bit like a Rorschach test image in the center. I'm fine with that! 

Now I can continue with my layouts of London and then Bath. I really would like to see this trip in print - soon. 

AAM Monday: Project Life Week 33

The computer fol de rol got a lot of things flummoxed. I am back on track with my Project Life and some of my other scrapping projects. Only the England album has fallen by the wayside. Those things happen but while I'd like it done, it's not time sensitive for doing. So back to the Project Life.

And yes, I know it is 9-11 and yes, how can I ever forget that morning...
