Happy Pumpkin Piggy Weekend

This shot came from a friend of a blogger I follow.She's a woman in Yorkshire so that's a winner for me.  The Weaver of Grass said one had to go look at these photos of pigs and pumpkins so...I had to have a go. Just thinking of delicious pork on the table was enough for me. <--- that should be a whisper I suppose so those lovely porkers stay content.

Friday Funny and/or True

This bit of wisdom comes from Ann On Sutton Place. Why is that pumpkin getting a bath you might ask? Well, according to Ann, it's the dirt and grime that cause pumpkins to rot. When clean, they last so much longer. All the information can be found in the link below the photo.  As it isn't time to put pumpkins out yet (in my mind and while the days can be in the 90s), I haven't tried this - yet. And I will admit, I'm a bit of a faux pumpkin kinda girl myself. But let me know if you try this and how it worked. I'm curious to know even though I have no doubts about Ann's level of truthfulness. 

I really would like one of those huge funky green pumpkins....and those white ones are so so pretty!

It's Fall...Finally

With a good storm moving through our area, the temperature finally dropped and we got a good bit of rain. Well needed rain. I scrapped. Nothing special just a fall feeling, even though those pumpkins were from our week down in South Carolina. It's all good!

Just May Do This One

Via Dispatch from LA, I saw this link and thought hmmmm..... punkins' are on sale at all the craft stores this week.

One thing I WILL do is get the doily cut first and take it with me in selecting a pumpkin to make sure it fits the shape of the punkin'. Nothing like having to try to fiddle with the shape. I hope the dollar store has doilies!
