And Then There Were These

I love getting so many pages done in January.  A Month of Challenges sounds daunting but it's only an hour or two each day. Lots of fun too!

I've surprised myself by doing and liking a lot of white space on my pages. Perhaps this is the balance to that Project Life kind of page. May - be!

This has always been one my favorite photos of myself. It was four months after the birth of my 2nd child, my 2nd son. My mother and I took one of the Tulip Tours to the Netherlands when she came to visit us in England and take my Nana, her mother, back home to the US. I loved this dress - one made for me by our local dressmaker and I had shoes to match that cardigan. You know how it feels to be put together again after being pregnant for so so long? That's how I felt!

A few on Friday

Another couple of the challenges of this month.

This page, done using a template design, was another page for my Boston pages. I really dislike working with this kind of template.

This was a much easier one. The challenge was to find a vintage photo - 1975 is certainly vintage!

I really liked this one, especially the patterned black papers. The challenge was to scrap a significant date in our life.

I hope you enjoy this little look at my art!

Halfway Through the Month of Challenges

Ok, let me start with the most recent page and go backwards a bit. Busy times and fun times.

The challenge here was to use on off-center photo.

This one was to cover the page with photos/elements. I an so not an elements kinda girl.

This challenge was to do a day in the life kinda page.

Normally you won't see purple or lavender on my pages but I have been lusting over a lavender cashmere sweater at Everyone I think. Not buying just lusting. A good buy at $98.

So pretty but fleece is so much easier to wash.

Loving These Challenges

When most of my scrapping is Project Life, it's really fun to do challenges that let me tell stories that I want to be told. It doesn't always work that when but when it does, it makes me very happy.  Here are some that did.

This mood board which expressed my One Little Word - Space led to the following layout. Somehow the pink really called to me and it has stuck over the last week. For me, it means that the process of clearing out to make space can be sweet and gentle.

Have a wonderful weekend and as for me, I'll be reading, watching Netflix and scrapping. Maybe even doing some cooking! Stay warm or cool depending on which part of the globe is home for you.

Travel With Me Tuesday: Boston 2017

A slightly different take on the winter pages from Boston. The top one was for a challenge at  The Lilypad Month of Challenges and the bottom one was the end of Dec 16, once again at the Fairmont Hotel.
