New York, yes there's more
More layout from our NYC trip. We loved The Cloisters but it was a warm, muggy day with a good walk from the subway stop. It reminded us of walking out on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. Every path was marked as 1.7 miles. DH swore that many were longer, and the return seemed even longer since it was invariably uphill then.
But the walk to the Cloisters only had one uphill part and the reward was an airconditioned building with lots of fantastic art. Just the building would have been enough but with the oh so old pieces ...wow.
