Flashback Friday: Orange Leader
While on our recent River Cruise in Germany, Austria and Hungary, "Gary" was our fearless leader most days. We were the orange group, and as he said, we would always remember ourselves that way! This damp, chilly day, he found an ingenious way to deal with that orange flag and keep his hands free. It truly was a misty, fall day on the Danube and a fascinating visit to an Austrian riverside wine town.

AAM - Orange on the Mind
This time of year seems to be an orange color time for me. The heat, the humidity and desert travel to be planned. So Week 31 of Project Life as well as a page about a trip into DC started out with orange on my mind. One I cooled down quite a bit but the DC day? Yes, bloody hot orange.

Oh Honey...they are so you!
Well I don't know who that honey might be but the designers must have had someone in mind, and that orange is so fall-colorish but...

TracyRusso saw them and now so did I. Let me see the designer having a prance in these first please.

On my desk...June 4
We have had a lot, a LOT, of ip trouble this week, making dh tense, terse, and fed up. While we had a half day without the net, I decided to redo my room. So...on my desk looks in a different direction.
The page in the center is the basis for the 6 element ATC swap I'm doing. I have moved the elements around and around and am not very happy with them. I think I may have to look for 'smaller shoes' to paste on the card. The orange was just for sizing. The cards will be white so I can print the Olympic Rings. I have an idea for altering that element to express some of my feelings about the location.
Now that you've seen my desk, I'm sure you want to see more desks . Kirsty is the keeper of the desk-list.

Rainy and sickly
When I journal in the early a.m., I start out with a technique given to me by a friend. I answer the question Weather outside? and then Weather inside? . Outside today, it's pouring down rain, a real wintry rain. Inside? well I feel really down with this chest congestion and sore throat. No energy even tho I have a few important things to do before vacation, including visiting the Department of Motor Vehicles. The latter isn't so bad since it mostly involves sitting and waiting to get the little sticker for the tag. I am also going to get myself personalized tags again, something I had for years but gave up in 2001. I'll take a magazine and enjoy the process. Isn't that the point of life? Be in the moment, experience it all (cough cough) and stay present.
DH has taken himself to the doctor so he should be coming home with medicine and even better - a bag of navel oranges. I need that sunny energy so I'll look at this picture of clementines until he gets home. Maybe sunny Spain is what we really do long for. I'll try to keep that in mind, because this malaise isn't fun...
