TBT - I Avoid Another Cactus Lesson

On a trip to California in 2004, we stopped in Mesa, AZ to see family. I had been 'attacked' by a cactus once before when the spikes got me as I came close to touch it. In this case, I was a bit more wary and avoided picking spikes out of my hand again.

Looking at the image I think I was still risking danger or maybe I'm just more cautious ten years down the road.

Once before, just once, I touched a cactus! That was a very painful lesson. I'm surprised I got this close to one but pictures don't lie!

I was attacked by a cactus once on this 2002 trip. I learned fast.  A flashback to a November Arizona and New Mexico vacation. I'm outside of Sedona here and NO we did not have a camper or RV.

I also saw a lot of this place and was thrilled to see the light snow frosting. Yes, the Grand Canyon is even more spectacular than you can imagine. Go. Make sure you see it in this lifetime.
