I voted

If you are in the United States, don't waste your chance at democracy.

Mine is an absentee ballot.

We are so fortunate to have the right.

I've got my ballot cheat sheet ready to go.

Yesterday I walked a good portion of our precinct with my husband, going door to door, handing out fliers giving instructions for early voting and a sample ballot.

DH is precinct captain here, but his entre' into democratic party politics has him squirming a bit. Tooooo partisan and antagonistic! So the fliers he printed and handed out and the badges we wore were only about voting early, not WHO to vote for.

Idaho is so thoroughly republican that those of us who are liberal or independent don't have our voices heard very loudly. But we do keep speaking up.

DH and I were out for about 2.5 hours. Our neighbors are an interesting mix of people we got to talk to. DH talked, I watched and listened. It was an excellent way to spend time together (and surprisingly good foreplay).
