Mama was sick on the train going down, and I was sick on the train coming back up. She had great fear that I was pregnant! However, as I reminded her years later when she told me this, it would be pretty unlikely that I'd have morning sickness 3 days after The Possible Event. ;-)

Mama always had a soft spot for cats, and she found this one down on the AF base and just had to love him up. Mama went to heaven ( I have no doubt about this) in 1999 when she was in her 80s. She was the best mil a woman could ask for. Love you Dorothy.

Happy Birthday to Dorothy. What a lovely tribute.
Happy birthday Dorothy! 4'10? Wow, that's tiny.
Sounds like she was a very special lady.
This story makes me laugh... thanks for sharing.
I've been missing you and your words of wisdom and humor.
All crazy on the "western" front, but you know all about that.
Want to see you soon.
